The Blob is a transparent, teardrop-shaped building in the center of Eindhoven. The 25-meter-high structure, consisting of a mix of glass and steel, is located on the Emmasingel at the 18 Septemberplein. Next to the Blob, you can see the Lichttoren at this site. This white, seven-sided tower, with a height of 48 meters, was the first high-rise in Eindhoven at the time and was put into use by Philips in 1921 as a factory and testing facility.
