Another type of art

There's a particular kind of frustration that comes from staring at a blank sheet of paper and having absolutely no idea where to start. That’s what happened during my art classes in the past week(s). The assignment was simple: make something abstract.
Not the kind of art I usually create but you know what. Let’s give it a try. Thanks to our teacher “Ninja” I came up with the idea to create abstract work with a base layer of soft pastels and using east indian ink to draw lines and shapes.
The first time I made some small items but that gave me the inspiration for the week after where I created a series of three with the name “lines and color”.
I wondered how they would look like when they would be framed so I also framed them in a wooden frame. Just as a “test” to see what the result would be.
I must admit that creating this art creates a certain state of mind that I like. In the upcoming weeks I need to pickup my watercolor paintings again but I’ll definitely will get back to these kind of art works.
