In the last days of May together with my wife Kristel and daughter Kiki I went to Berlin for a couple of days. Visiting Berlin from the Netherlands is relatively easy if you go by train. Just a 4 hour train ride from the east of the Netherlands and you are in the middle of Berlin.
I took some of my painting equipment with me to try and make some drawings and paintings while visiting the city. Walking around I took some pictures and at the end of the first day I sat down and started to paint a “Wust Kiosk”.

Brandenburger Tor
Probably one of the most iconic buildings in Berlin is the Brandenburger Tor. At the borders of east and west it’s a real landmark.
I’m pretty pleased with the way this painting worked out. I even ordered a “fine art print” to see how it looks after scanning the painting and having it printed.

Other buildings
Besides the Brandenburger Tor there is a lot more to see in Berlin. One of the nice examples are the Deutscher Dom and the Französischer Dom that are next to eachother. I decided to make a painting of one of these and basically I just painted some details. Found out that working on a painting with details like that is really nice to do.
